Douris
Douris was a leading Attic red-figure vase painter active c. 500–460 BCE, celebrated for precise line, graceful anatomy, and clear storytelling on drinking cups (kylikes). His tondo scenes often set heroes and myth in elegant, balanced compositions. In the Vatican Museums, the “Attic Kylix (Jason)” shows his refined drawing and narrative economy.
